"...“89 and 24” rolls out on guitars reminiscent of Ronnie James Dio, flowing into a melody of thick, growling textures riding a finessed yet wickedly potent rhythm with a nasty edginess. David’s vocals, deliciously raspy, summon up suggestions of James Hetfield, Steve Marriott, and David Coverdale, all thrown into a blender and then puréed. It’s one of those smoking voices, simultaneously raw and gutsy.
