Floodfall
Jul 11, 2025
Tight and insightful preview of the new song
"...“89 and 24” rolls out on guitars reminiscent of Ronnie James Dio, flowing into a melody of thick, growling textures riding a finessed yet wickedly potent rhythm with a nasty edginess. David’s vocals, deliciously raspy, summon up suggestions of James Hetfield, Steve Marriott, and David Coverdale, all thrown into a blender and then puréed. It’s one of those smoking voices, simultaneously raw and gutsy.
No time to worry or cry
No time to figure out why
89 and 24
Cast me on rocky shores again
89 and 24
A wrecking ball rips through the door again, again
Rattling with dense energy, “89 and 24” finds Floodfall pumping out hard rock thrumming with swaggering heft and momentum..."
